Using a theme in your landscape design will help to marry these ideas together. I love to use that as a groundcover, and you can mix in courser textured plants, like tiarella, to add to the texture. I have a lot of shade in my garden, so I’m always experimenting with texture.
A lot of landscape design symbols are a combination, grouped object with a mix of shapes and lines. If you used the wall tool to create an enclosed space, you can add a photo-realistic texture to it to show an area meant to be used for grass, bricks, paving stones or whatever surface your plan calls for. Select the area, click on Fill on the Home ribbon, and select Textures from the dropdown. To create a boundary, click on the Wall tool at the top of the SmartPanel.
The good news is that sustainability doesn’t have to be intimidating. A little bit goes a long way, and you can start with easy swaps to create a more eco-friendly front yard. Are you hoping for inviting front porch to host lots of guests in your cozy neighborhood? Or are you craving a little bit of privacy for your tiny urban yard? Do you want pristine gardens, or do you want a front yard where the kids can run and play?

Step Three – Coming Up With a Functional Design
Start by imagining your dream yard, then work on sketching out a plan to make it happen (you can always scale back to fit your budget). With your plan in hand, you can do it yourself or work with a professional to transform your ideas into reality. A thorough site analysis is the first step to having a great landscape design. It involves a detailed assessment of the soil type, sun exposure, slope, drainage, and existing vegetation. This analysis helps determine the appropriate design elements, plant selection, and placement.
Property size
It is important that you have a good working relationship with your landscape professional. Write down your objectives and ideas to bring to them when you meet in person and take notes of your conversation. Once a shape is in your workspace, you can change line and fill color in the Home tab to add some color to your design.
