The etiquette tied to wedding invitations has existed long before cars replaced horses as the primary mode of transportation. Back then, to ensure your carefully constructed wedding invites were unsoiled upon arrival, they were placed in an envelope inside another envelope.
If both are doctors with the same last name, address the envelope to “The Doctors” and their last name. And for married ladies, you also have two options, Mrs. of course, but Ms. can be used for both unmarried and married women. Read more about Bridal Shower Invitations here. This year, we’d say that people are a lot more understanding of plans changing. People will get why you weren’t able to include them in your original guest count, and frankly, a lot of people are probably just excited to be going to events again. In the second situation, you’ve already invited some or most of your guest list. Those guests have had a standard amount of time to save the date, make arrangements, find their outfits and plan to attend your wedding.
Feel free to do whatever works best for your wedding invitation business. Consider how much you want to pay yourself for each order. You might be surprised to know that when I first started my wedding invitation business, I priced my stationery lower than Minted. Some of my favorite cost-saving invitation tips are below! The biggest thing you can do is go with a pre-designed or semi-custom suite, as custom design time will be your absolute largest cost in most cases.
Where should your return address go on your wedding invitations? It will go in two places usually – the RSVP envelope, and the main envelope. You should send your wedding invitations 8-12 weeks before the wedding. With all these customs in mind, this is your wedding, so you get to make the rules. Your wedding day will be filled with your favorite people from all walks of life — with many different lifestyles and living situations. Think of each individual guest as you write their invitation, considering how they wish to be addressed.
They’ve made it to adulthood (hurray for filing taxes!), so make sure to send them their own invite if you want them to attend. These are instructions for the traditional way to stack your enclosures, but you may want to do things differently depending on the pieces in your invitation suite and your preferences.
