Counseling & Counselor Education
Based on your specialty area, you’ll take 60 to 90 quarter hours of core curriculum and specialty area coursework, as well as practicum, internship, and elective courses. We have developed relationships with local school districts and universities to ensure that our students have optimal opportunities to train for future work in academic settings. The Racial Empowerment Collaborative (REC) is a research, program development, and training center that brings together community leaders, researchers, authority figures, families, and youth to study and promote racial literacy and health in schools and neighborhoods. STEM OPT eligibleEligible F-1 students who finish their program of study and participate in an initial period of regular post-completion OPT (often for 12 months) have the option to apply for a STEM OPT extension (for 24 months).
